As part of our philosophy, we have a deep respect for the rainforest, which is why all of our products are first farmed responsibly by us or one of our trusted neighbors, then hand-harvested, hand-processed, hand-packaged, and made with love.

Sleep Aide Tincture
As children, we use to play with Dormilona. When we touched the leaves, they folded up and appeared to go to sleep. Little did we know, like magic, the plant was showing us how to use her! Our grandparents used Dormilona and Passion Flower for restless nights.
Now, we like to take 20-30 drops of our tincture before bed. If after ½ an hour we are still counting monkeys, we take 20-30 more drops.
Immune Boosting Tincture
The green (or wet!) season brings along colds and the flu here in the tropics, much like winter does in the north. Before the rains start, when the medicine is most potent, we would harvest the next branch of Roble Sabana, and prepare the inner bark to help us fight off illnesses and balance our bodies.
Flu Away Tincture
Our abuelas always treated Gavilana with respect because of its power. This plant is so potent it should only be used when sick or almost sick with a cold or flu.
In warm water or honey, we like to take 30 drops every two hours if we know we are getting sick, or three times a day if we are already sick, until we feel better (max use 7 days).

When we start to make a new product, first, Solin and Ivannia remember plant uses they’ve witnessed throughout their lives. With these memories and conversations with community members, we make a list of plants. We spend time trialing recipes and researching to make sure our products are stellar. The stories and memories are shared on the back of our products, so you too can share in the story!
Skin Healing Salve
This recipe comes from our Abuela who said, “every smart family has an indio desnudo tree planted in their fields”. We put a little salve on our skin, and wait a little until the plants do their magic on our bug bites, minor sunburns, cuts, psoriasis, eczema, and scraps. Be smart like Abuela says and enjoy this magic from the jungle.
Muscle and Bruise Salve
One day, after working hard, Solin’s papa was kicked by a horse. His 80 year-old neighbor, hearing what had happened, returned from her garden with a handful of Arnica and Solin's mama had Santa Maria ready. They made papa a bath to increase blood flow, decrease inflammation, and promote healing.
We like to massage this salve into our sore muscles and bruises, as needed.

Your purchase helps support our educational programs we run within the local schools. Younger generations are moving away from living in harmony with nature. We hope to show our grandparents' way of life still has value, teaching students about how their ancestors used plants to cook, to clean, and to heal. Students will learn old techniques with hands-on lessons and tutorials. We hope that they take these lessons back home with them and share their enthusiasm with their parents and grandparents, calling forth memories and providing inspiration.
